Once I got off the plane I went to the reliable company of Hertz. They are located at Barcelona and Valencia International Airports. When I arrived I was surprised at the friendly service with happy faces and good knowledge on their car selection and all the features they had.

I swiftly drove around Spain in my top seller 4 seater Kia Ceed SW with dual airbags and extremely secure seatbelts. It is one of the most popular cars on the market because it has fantastic fuel economy, and has attractive lines but its very fast when you get onto the motorway.

The car has a very roomy boot space and excellent foot space you will also need to lock it before you exit the car even though it has theft protection. When I drove around in my Kia I needed to have a full and current license also travel insurance. I travelled to Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia in my Kia. It cost NZD $40 to rent the car per day and so to travel around Spain it was good value at NZD $160 and the petrol costs for the whole trip is  NZD $223.52. What great value for money!
